Day 01: Depart for Prague on your overnight flight.
Day 02: Arrive in Prague Czech Republic (2-nights)
You’ll be picked up at the Prague airport and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Spend the evening strolling along the scenic Danube.
Day 03: Prague sightseeing
Morning guided sightseeing includes views of 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle and a walk in the Castle courtyards. See Staromestski Square, which dates back to the 12th century and started life as the central marketplace for the city. It is surrounded by historic buildings, beautiful churches, and the Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall tower. Also admire Prague’s famous Charles Bridge, a masterpiece of engineering and one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe. (B)
Day 04: Prague to Vienna (2-nights)
After breakfast you'll be transferred to the train station for your trip on to Vienna, where you can wander the narrow, medieval alleyways or across imperial squares, view Schönbrunn Palace or Imperial Palace (Hofburg) in the footsteps of Sissi and Emperor Franz Josef, and marvel at the majestic architecture along the Ring Blvd. (B)
Day 05: Vienna city tour and Schonbrunn Palace
During your morning guided sightseeing, visit splendid Schonbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. See famous landmarks along the Ringstrasse, including Heldenplatz with nearby Hofburg Palace, the National Theater, the State Opera House, Parliament, City Hall, renowned museums, and the Strauss Monument—a gilded tribute to the great composer. Day 06: Vienna to Budapest (2-nights)
You’ll take a 3hr train ride to Budapest, a city of thermal baths, cafés, striking turn-of-the-century architecture, and most of all, a city of the Danube, “whose gentle waves,” according to the great Hungarian poet Attila József, “embrace past, present, and future.” (B)
Day 07: Budapest sightseeing
This morning enjoy a guided sightseeing tour which visits Matthias Coronation Church and impressive Hero's Square with the Millennium Monument, built in 1896, at its center. Behind the monument is a semicircular colonnade with statues of famous men who made their marks on Hungary. Statues atop the colonnade symbolize Labor & Wealth, Knowledge & Glory, War, and Peace. Also take a drive up to Fishermen’s Bastion for magnificent panoramas of Buda and Pest on either side of the Danube River. (B)
Day 08: Budapest to Home.
After breakfast you’ll be transported to the airport for your onward flight home or you can extend your trip to include additional. (B) You can choose to add more nights, if you choose.
