Day 01, Depart the USA

Board your flight to for your 14-Day Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Krakow & Warsaw tour. Your vacation includes flights from New York or flights from your specific departure (extra cost for air add-on cities). (B)

Day 02: Arrive in Berlin, Germany (2-nights)

You’ll be picked up and transported to your city hotel. Enjoy this lively and historic city on your own tonight. Stay at the Kudamm 101 Berlin Hotel. (B)

Day 03: Berlin city tour:

Experience Berlin’s past and present on this 4-hour, guided walking tour through the city's Mitte district. Visit landmarks from the city’s Prussian, Imperial, Nazi, Cold War and modern eras, offering insight into the evolution of this fascinating German capital. Stroll along the iconic Berlin Wall and follow Unter den Linden to the Brandenburg Gate. Then check out the rebuilt Reichstag and the Holocaust Memorial and hear the amazing stories of Cold War Berlin at Checkpoint Charlie. Your walking tour of Berlin also includes a complimentary city map and guidebook. (B)

Day 04: Berlin to Prague train. (2-nights)

Today you will board your EC train to Prague, Czech Republic. The travel time is 4.5 hours. Upgrade to 1st class if you choose. Stay at the Hotel Waldstein. (B)

Day 05: Prague sightseeing tour

This walk includes a thousand years of history, architecture and stories. Visit the oldest and most interesting parts of Prague such as Charles Bridge, Lesser Square, Prague Castle with its Royal Garden and St. Vitus Cathedral, Jewish Town and Old Town. You will see the famous Astrological Clock, which has been measuring time in Prague for six centuries, in good and bad times. You will be told of the best clubs, bars and the latest cultural events. You will get a great introduction to the most important sights in the historical centre of Prague.

Day 06: Prague to Vienna. (3-nights)

Take a train from Prague to Vienna. Travel time is 4hr 40 min. Stay at the Ibis Styles Wien City Hotel. Tonight enjoy the evening at leisure.  (B)

Day 07: City Tour and Schonbrunn Palace Tour

This city tour will introduce you to the the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. (B)

Day 08: Vienna free day

Enjoy this city at leisure. Choose from a number of optional sightseeing excursions (B)

Day 09:  Vienna to Budapest. (2-nights)

Take the train from Vienna to Budapest. Travel time is 3hrs. For the next 2 days your days will be at leisure however you can choose to add sightseeing excursions onto your itinerary.  Stay at the Ibis Styles Budapest City Hotel. (B)

Day 10: Budapest sightseeing tour

On this tour you will be passing by the Parliament building before crossing the Danube on the Margaret Bridge and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Here you will have some free time to yourself to visit the Fishermen's Bastion which offers stunning views over the city and the Mathias Church. Your tour will continue to the Gillert Hill before crossing the Elisabeth Bridge from where you will drive towards the Heroes' Square. Passing by the Opera and St Stephen's Basilica you reach the Hotel Intercontinental where your tour ends. (B)

Day 11: Budapest to Krakow (2 nights)

You'll be transferred to the Budapest airport to take your flight to Krakow, - Poland's 2nd largest city. Stay at the Wawel Hotel. Enjoy walking this compact, medieval city with one of the largest city squares. (B)

Day 12: Auschwitz Birkenau Small Group Tour

Auschwitz is one of the best-known concentration camps in the world; it is a place of genocide where approximately 1.5 million people were killed during WWII. The tour includes a visit to Auschwitz I - the administrative centre of Auschwitz death camp and Auschwitz II, designed and constructed as an extermination facility. The place has remained a living monument of death. Every year, millions of visitors from around the world walk through the gate bearing a fallacious inscription: Arbeit macht frei , 'Work sets one free'. Defeating the same route as prisoners for over half a century ago.The programme of the visit comprises the introduction to the origins of the camp, its history and the everyday life of its prisoners. The museum was founded in 1947, combining the area of KL Auschwitz (Auschwitz I) in O wi cim and the Birkenau camp (Auschwitz II) in Brzezinka; it comprises approximately 150 buildings and 300 ruins. The original roads, fences, watchtowers and railway ramps have been preserved. The buildings house the collection of original exhibits and documents. In 1979, the concentration camp was designated as one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. After your guided tour of Auschwitz you will return to Krakow by coach. Choose to add the Wieliczka Salt Mine to your day (extra cots). (B)

Day 13, Krakow to Warsaw. (1-night)

Take a train from Krakow to Warsaw. Train travel time is 2hr 30 min. In the afternoon tour the city of Warsaw in a comfortable 18-passenger air-conditioned coach. Relax and enjoy a small-group tour for a more personalized experience and feel the spirit of the city as the best professional guides take you around historic places of interest. On this 3-hour scheduled sightseeing tour, visit Old Town, the Royal Castle, Jewish Ghetto, Lazienki Park and much more. Stay at the MDM Hotel. (B)

Day 14, Warsaw to USA

Today, after breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport to board your flight home. You can extend your trip by adding night to one or all the cities listed on this tour. (B) Trip can be extended.
