Day 01; Overnight flight to Prague, Czech Republic

Day 02: Arrive in Prague (2-nights)

You’ll be picked up at the airport by your driver and taken straight to your city hotel. Prague is considered by many, to be the most stunning of the cities you’ll be visiting. Prague was spared large-scale destruction during World War II with the city's medieval core remaining largely intact. Its pedestrian friendly built on two banks of the Vlata River. It’s a wonderful city to stroll in and enjoy outdoor café dinning. Stay at the Hotel Clement Prague Hotel.

Day 03: The Best of Prague Walking Tour

A thousand years of history awaits you as Prague has seen many revolutionary turns and unexpected events. Walk in the footsteps of old and hear from our experienced and educated guides, fascinating and real stories, which happened inside the walls and buildings that we pass. You will walk across Charles Bridge to the Lesser Town and then by tram to Prague Castle. You will stop for a coffee break before going to the Jewish Quarter and the Old Town. Next you are invited to a typical Czech restaurant for an enjoyable lunch. Towards the end of the tour you will have a look back at Prague from another perspective, aboard a boat as you enjoy a relaxing ride on the Vltava River. (B)

Day 04: Prague to Vienna (3-nights)

After breakfast, you’ll be taken to the train station where you’ll a 4hr train journey, in 1st class, will take you to the former seat of the Hapsburg Dynasty – Vienna, Austria . Voted the most ‘livable’ city in the world, Vienna is a museums are 2nd to none. Considered one of the world's greatest musical centers, it was home to Mozart, Hayden, Strauss, Beethoven and Schubert. Spend the evening discovering on your own. (B) Stay at the Kaiserin Elisabeth Hotel.

Day 05: Vienna City Tour and Schonbrunn Palace

This city tour will introduce you to the the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. (B)

Day 06: Vienna day at leisure

Shop, explore, and eat through this stately capital. This city will be the largest you’ll visit on your 12-Day tour. You can take a tram around town or simply walk the city center. Add an optional tour or two for this day, if you’d like. (B)

Day 07: Vienna to Budapest (3-nights)

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to the train station for your 3hr journey, in first class. In Budapest you’ll be picked up by your private driver and taken directly to your city center hotel. Take a walk around the city center look out over the famous Chain Bridge for some relaxing moments. The city center is very pedestrian friendly. Optional: Have this evenings dinner at ‘Chef Café’, located close to the Danube River which services authentic Hungarian fare. (B) Stay at the Lanchid 19 Hotel.

Day 08: Hungarian Parliament and Grand Budapest City Tour

Take the opportunity to visit the impressive parliament building. After a walk around Hungary's largest building you will visit the magnificent Neo-Gothic Parliament, also known as the Holy Hungarian Crown, on a guided tour through the splendid session rooms and of the impressive staircase. This is followed by a city tour. You will cross the Danube on the Margaret Bridge and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Here you will have some free time to yourself to visit the Fishermen's Bastion, which offers stunning views over the city and the Matthias Church. Our tour will continue to Gellert Hill, before crossing the Elisabeth Bridge and driving towards Heroes' Square. Passing by the Opera and St Stephen's Basilica we reach the Hotel Intercontinental, where this tour ends. (B)

Day 09: Free day Budapest, Night Stroll & Danube cruise

Today you can choose to enjoy Budapest, at leisure or add an optional sightseeing excursions. Budapest is built on thermal reserves so it has many casual thermal baths to take advantage of. Recommended are:

Optional: Szechenyi Baths & Pool or the Gellert Spa with Skip the line entrance.
Optional:  Danube Bend Tour - Esztergom,Visegrad & Szentendre
Optional: Communist Times, 56 Revolution, WWI & II Tour

In the evening enjoy a Budapest night stroll and Danube boat cruise.'Paris of the East' is one of the most famous sentences used when describing Budapest at night. The magnificent buildings and sights all glowing and illuminated at night just give this city a totally different feeling than you experience during the day. The Night Stroll is designed to take you along the path where you will see the best parts of the city by night for some of the most terrific photos. You will not only learn about these grandiose sight but hear stories surrounding them such as: Who is the first Hungarian vampires? What did she do? Was Attila the Hun really a Hungarian? Who was he and how did he die? Where did Hungarians really come from? What is the myth behind our ancestors? All these and more compelling facts and questions will be answered during this tour. The tour ends by taking one hour cruise with one drink of your choice!

Day 10: Budapest to Krakow.  Evening Jewish dinner & music Experience (2-nights)

Today, after breakfast, you’ll be taken to the airport where you’ll board your flight to Krakow.  Upon arrival you’ll be transferred, by a private car, to your centrally located hotel. (B)

Optional. Take a private car and enroute stop in Zakopane, Poland. Drive time: 7hrs

Evening: Jewish cuisine with Klezmer music. We invite you to a Jewish-style dinner complete with traditional Jewish music at Ariel - a very special place in the old Jewish district of Kazimierz. The Ariel gallery was transformed into an artistic cafe several years ago and is decorated with many paintings, drawings and ceramics. Today, Ariel is actually a three-in-one establishment housing a restaurant, cafe and a gallery all with delightful ambience. The restaurant culinary delights feature splendid traditional dishes including various roasts. The specialities of the house are: the 'Berdyczowska soup', 'Sephardine carp' and other delicacies. As Jewish music concerts and performances are held here every night, you can dine and listen to Klezmer music - traditional Jewish folk melodies or to a performance of a musical theatre drawing on Jewish, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian culture. Day 11: Auschwitz Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour

Combine two of Krakow’s most important historic sites on this full-day tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and the Wieliczka Salt Mine, including hotel pickup and lunch. Start with a moving tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau complex, and learn the harrowing truths of the largest Nazi concentration camp complex. After lunch, venture underground to explore the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka mine, one of the worlds oldest working salt mines. (B, L)

Day 12: Depart for home

After breakfast you’ll be taken to the airport for your flight home. You are free can add extra nights in any of the cities and extends your trip.
