Day 01: Depart for Budapest, Hungary
Day 02: Arrive Budapest, Hungary (3-nights)
You'll be meet at the airport and transported to your hotel in Budapest. You can choose to stay in standard, 4 or 5 star hotel properties in basic or upgraded room types. This quote will include well located, standard 3-star hotel properties in the city center. (B)
Day 03: Budapest sightseeing
This morning enjoy a guided sightseeing tour which visits Matthias Coronation Church and impressive Hero's Square with the Millennium Monument, built in 1896, at its center. Behind the monument is a semicircular colonnade with statues of famous men who made their marks on Hungary. Statues atop the colonnade symbolize Labor & Wealth, Knowledge & Glory, War, and Peace. Also take a drive up to Fishermen’s Bastion for magnificent panoramas of Buda and Pest on either side of the Danube River. (B)
Day 04: Free day Budapest.
Enjoy this city at leisure which is very pedestrian friendly. Take a tram/subway to get around to the outer parts of the city. Budapest is known for its thermal reserves which are located throughout the city so enjoy one of the many baths. Optional sightseeing excursions will be recommended to you. (B)
Day 05: Budapest–Vienna, Austria (3-nights)
You'll be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the train station. Journey by train to Vienna. Choose 1st of 2nd class train seats (duration 3hrs). Upon arrival meet your driver. The day is yours to enjoy at leisure. (B)
Day 06: Vienna sightseeing
During your morning guided sightseeing, visit splendid Schonbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. See famous landmarks along the Ringstrasse, including Heldenplatz with nearby Hofburg Palace, the National Theater, the State Opera House, Parliament, City Hall, renowned museums, and the Strauss Monument—a gilded tribute to the great composer. (B)
Day 07: Free day Vienna
You'll be given suggestions for your day in Austria’s “City of Music,” like the best places to sample Wienerschnitzel and where to shop for Mozartkugeln, a chocolate and marzipan treat or you can simply spend the day leisurely enjoying the beauty of Vienna. (B)
Day 08: Vienna–Prague, Czech Republic
You'll be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the train station. Journey by train to scenic Prague - the 'must see' city in Eastern Europe. (B)
Day 09: Prague sightseeing
Morning guided sightseeing includes views of 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle and a walk in the Castle courtyards. See Staromestski Square, which dates back to the 12th century and started life as the central marketplace for the city. It is surrounded by historic buildings, beautiful churches, and the Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall tower. Also admire Prague’s famous Charles Bridge, a masterpiece of engineering and one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe. (B)
Day 10: Free day Prague
With a full day at leisure to enjoy the “Golden City,” you'll have optional excursions available for you to choose from. Prague is a compact, scenic city which is a delight to discover on foot. Explore the many quaint streets and cafes, cross the famous St. Charles bridge or do some shopping. It's a wonderful city to end your vacation on. (B)
Day 11: Tour ends
After breakfast you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight. (B). You may want to choose to extend your trip to Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow or other European cities.
